Florida’s vote-by-mail rules have changed—and many Seminole County Democrats are no longer signed up to get a mail ballot in 2026. These are some of our most reliable voters—and unless we reach them, many could be left behind. Your quick, helpful conversations will make a real difference.
You can make calls whenever it works for you–anytime between 9am-8pm on Mon-Sat, and 11am-7pm on Sun!
Sign up to be sent all the details and begin making your calls. Training and support provided.
Oviedo on the Park - Oviedo on the Park, Center Lake Lane, Oviedo, FL, USA
Seminole County Democrats need YOU to help us get out the vote for our August 18th primary elections.
On Saturday, May 23rd, we will be launching an important door-to-door canvass of registered Democrats in Oviedo at Oviedo on the Park.
Our school board candidates, in particular, will need all the help they can get this year, and it's up to our voters to show up for them in August.
That's where YOU come in! Canvassing is one of the most effective ways you, as an individual, can inform and turn out voters, especially in tight elections.
First time canvassing? No problem. You will be paired with an experienced canvasser for training.
Prefer not to walk? Don't worry! Drivers are also needed to transport canvassers over longer distances when necessary.
Be sure to wear your best walking shoes, and bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated!
Seminole County is ready to resist! Join the Resistance Volunteers to help organize peaceful protests in Seminole County.
To participate in committee meetings, you must be willing to volunteer at events or behind the scenes. (This is more than just attending.) We need volunteers for:
Security (Resistance Rangers) - Greeters - Medics - Water - Sign distributors - Clean up - Communications - Photographers - Sign making events
Please note: For security, everyone on the call will be required to turn on their cameras and introduce themselves. Anyone who does not clearly identify themselves will be removed from the call. If you are outside Seminole County you must be invited to attend.
If you have questions, contact nick.democracy@gmail.com

All registered Dems are invited to participate in our Central Seminole Democrats Meeting!
Primarily focusing on the neighborhoods that make up the Casselberry & Winter Springs area, this is a great opportunity to meet like-minded Democrats in a safe environment, where we encourage you to share your thoughts, feelings, and opinions on our local community and the issues that affect you the most.
Each meeting will allow for group discussion, and we will occasionally invite a guest speaker. Everyone is invited to attend.

Hourglass Brewing - 480 S Ronald Reagan Blvd ste 1020, Longwood, FL 32750, USA
Meet with like-minded small business owners over a delicious craft beer at Hourglass Brewing in Longwood! We'll meet on the last Thursday of each month to network and support each other and our unique challenges and opportunities as small business owners in Seminole County. Aspiring and retired entrepreneurs are welcome, too! Our shared values and wisdom can help us all grow as professionals as well as individuals. This is a casual meet up that will end whenever everyone decides!
Hourglass Brewing is a very accessible business with lots of space and a very chill atmosphere. It's family-friendly with some fun features kids love, such as pinball machines and more. Although Hourglass doesn't serve food, they do allow outside food to be brought in. Papa Bee's and Tainos are in their plaza and have really good food!
Join us for a time of reflection and freewriting—no writing experience or talent necessary!
We will lead a virtual writing circle for those who are concerned about the state of their country and could use some time to express those feelings with likeminded folks.
This event will begin with individual check-ins, when attendees will let the group know how they’re doing. Then we’ll proceed to a silent writing time based on reflective prompts. After that, everyone will be invited (but not required) to share their writing with the group.
This event is meant to help attendees process emotions that are hard to handle, experience the bonds of community, and move forward with a focus on what they are creating in the world.
We hope you can join us as we write our way towards hope.
For this event, we ask that all participants be willing to show themselves on camera for security reasons

Phone bank with other SemDems. Who can make the most connections with fellow voters? Despite the rise of robocalls and general public skepticism toward unsolicited calls, live volunteer-run phone banking remains an effective tool because it offers a personal, human-to-human connection that digital methods lack. Studies have shown that personalized volunteer calls can boost vote turnout.

The event is from 9am-2pm, but we'll need a little time before and after the event to set up and take down our booth. There are 2 shifts available to make sure we cover the entire event. Feel free to sign up for more than one shift, though!
Please wear a SemDems shirt or blue and bring water/snacks as needed. If you don’t have a SemDems shirt and would like one for the event, visit the SemDems office during office hours and purchase one using the QR code.
Bring water, snacks, sunscreen, jackets, and whatever else you need to be comfortable for your shift(s). We'll have everything else you need including chairs.
If you've not yet been through our voter registration training and you'd like to, please contact Cathy McCook at cathym.semdems@gmail.com. This is not required to volunteer to table with us, but is helpful.
We count on our amazing volunteers to help us get out into the community and have the one-on-one conversations that we know make a difference. Thank so much for helping us turn Seminole County blue!
