What began four years ago in a packed three-bedroom home has grown into a community tradition that brings Democrats together over a homemade meal, meaningful conversation, and a shared commitment to building a better Seminole County. Enjoy a homemade Italian dinner prepared by SemDems Chair Andrew Lisa, meet the Democratic candidates you'll be supporting this November, reconnect with old friends, and make some new ones along the way. The proceeds of this event will help us print and mail voter guides to every Democrat within Seminole County. SemDems' Post-Primaries 80s Dance Party We've worked HARD to get this far, SemDems, and this is our check point party! Let's celebrate, cut loose, and refill our cups because next, we look to November! We can't lose momentum and there's a ton more work to do, but we deserve one night to have some fun and celebrate how far we've come. We want everyone there who's been with us in this effort, and it won't be the same without YOU! Wear your 80s best for your chance to win the SemDems' Best 80s Outfit Competition. At Manikin's Lounge in Sanford 407 S Sanford Ave, Sanford, FL 32771 Saturday, Sept 5th - 8pm till Late $5 Cover Best 80s Outfit Competition Reserved area for SemDems What to expect at Manikin's Lounge: Saturdays are always 80s night! There's a $5 cover to enter the club, but if we get a good bit of sign-up's, they said they could lower the per-person charge for our group. The SemDems have the back area of the club reserved so we have somewhere to chat and relax when we're not dancing. Manikin's also has the Kraken's Cove Tiki Bar on the patio. This is a fun place to hang out on summer nights, featuring specialty tiki cocktails, souvenir cups, hotdogs, and other fun offerings. Inside the club they have a dance floor and several bars, and they now sell wine by the bottle.

Are you ready to #BetheChange? Join us for our General Meetings in Altamonte Springs on the second Thursday of each month. Open to the public. We socialize at 6:30 p.m., and the meeting starts at 7. If you have been looking for "your people" here in Seminole county, you have found us! Come see how you can get involved and stay in-the-know with local, state, and federal races and happenings.

Take advantage of Florida's Back-to-School Tax-Free Holiday, July 20–August 20, 2026, to help local students in need. Seminole County Public Schools estimates that 4,000 students will experience homelessness by the start of the school year. While those numbers are heartbreaking, together we can make a meaningful difference. Please consider donating new school supplies. The SemDems office will be accepting donations during regular office hours and at the next SemDems Monthly Meeting. Bring a bagful if you can! Every notebook, backpack, pencil, and box of crayons helps equip a child for success in the classroom.
